Customer Review: Great product if it would last

This is the third time I've purchased this product, because it is so useful if you smoke food regularly. I have wood, charcoal, gas and electric smokers and now that I have calibrated the electric smoker using this product, I don't need it as much, but when I use any of the others, I can regulate the temperature much better and know how cooked the food is without opening the lid. The latter is important if I'm on a tight schedule and want to add a glaze.
The problem is that I have had to purchase three of them because they stop working after a year or two.

Monitor the temperature of smoked meats from up to 100 feet away! Wireless receiver with LCD beeps and flashes when smoked meat temperature surpasses programmed temperature or if smoking chamber temperature falls out of programmed range.
